Neuro-oncology is a very broad clinical and scientific discipline that concerns the diagnostic and therapeutic care of primary tumors of the CNS, neurological complications of cancer, whether tumoral or not, and neuro-oncogenetic pathologies. It is transversal, potentially involving all the structures of the central and peripheral nervous system and requires an interdisciplinary approach.
We are developing at NETRI 3D-Deposition Chamber microfluidic devices coupled with high-throughput compatible MultiElectrod Arrays (MEAs), in collaboration with Axion BioSystems. These devices allow neurons and cancer cells co-culture with a control of cell density and homogeneity, and their functional and phenotypical analysis.
